My son Daniel told us about this "giant pair of legs" in the middle of a field in Amarillo, so of course we had to find it! There is a reason the artist put them here, actually. There was a building here way back, apparently a very pretty one, and after it fell to ruin, Mary Shelley, the author of "Frankenstein", wrote a poem about the ruins and says in the poem that all that remains is "a giant pair of legs."

Would you believe this is a cast of the only known Tyrannosaurus Rex footprint? This is at Sugarite Canyon State Park near Raton, New Mexico. Imagine that! The footprint was found on that land. As you can see, the footprint is from Jan's feet to her waistline. Rather awe-inspiring, don't you think?

Here are Jan and our precious babies taking a walk at Sugarite Canyon State Park.

No, we didn't manage to escape the snow before we got south! Here is what we saw out our window one morning in Colorado. The lake behind our trailer was frozen over as well. Time to head south!!!
